Twelve kilometres of sandy beach, the stilt houses, land yachting, kitesurfing and guided mudflat walks in the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea. For quieter days, cycle along the dyke or watch birds on the foreshore.

Dorf is the oldest of the four districts: Frisian houses, well-kept gardens, a weekly market and short distances. The Droemhus stands here on a quiet play street at the edge of the village – the Westküstenpark wildlife park is right opposite.

On the doorstep
With children
The Westküstenpark wildlife park with its seal station is opposite and a new playground is within walking distance. There is also the Dünen-Therme spa, minigolf and an indoor play barn for rainy days.
Eating and drinking
In the stilt houses you sit eight metres above the mudflats; the Arche Noah and the 54° Nord beach bar are right on the sand. In the village there are bakers, cafés and the weekly market.

Off-season in the Dorf district
The quiet months have their own appeal: the beach almost to yourself, wind in the dunes, candlelight in the living room in the evening and afterwards the warmth of the Dünen-Therme. Many of our regular guests come precisely then.
